Career Opportunities at Scin
At scin we have career opportunities for high quality beauty therapists with a positive, friendly attitude and excellent work ethic. All beauty therapists are required to have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Beauty Therapy and are expected to be able to perform all the treatments that we offer. Unfortunately we do not have job opportunities for therapists that only specialise in one type of treatment (e.g. massage therapists).

Scin Beauty Therapist
Applicants should have all the skills listed above in addition to having excellent retail techniques and proven sales records. They should be able to use the initiative and use their experience with in the beauty and spa industry to offer support to the rest of the team. They would be expected to meet targets both individually and within a team and they should above all, be able to carry out all beauty treatments to a high standard with competence and accuracy.
Minimum Qualification requirements would be an NVQ 2 and 3 in Beauty Therapy or an equivalent qualification. Minimum 2 years Beauty Salon or Spa related (hands on) experience.

Why work at Scin
Training and Qualifications at Scin. All therapists who work at Scin are required to attend a 4 day Dermalogica training course (as a minimum) and over time will also attend more specialised training days to increase their skincare and Dermalogica knowledge. Scin also invest heavily in in-house training. We train all therapists in our Scin massage (that has been designed by Anna) and we try to ensure that all therapists perform to the high standards we expect at Scin.
What are we looking for in a Beauty Therapist? Beauty therapists with a friendly personality. We try to create a warm and welcoming environment for our clients and it is important to us that you are able to help create this and fit into the salon.
Beauty therapists who are team players. At scin it's all about the team and working together with your colleagues to ensure that the salon is clean, organised and runs like clockwork.
Beauty therapists who have a professional outlook. We have very high standards and expect our therapists to provide a first class service to all clients whether they are coming in for a massage or a simple underarm wax.
We prefer to employ beauty therapists who live within one hours commuting distance from the salon. It is important to us that you have work / life balance and from experience we know that if you have to commute for any longer than this it is not sustainable on a long term basis.
Spa Environment? Scin is what we call a "Boutique Beauty Spa". By this we mean we fall somewhere between a Beauty Salon and a Day Spa. We do not offer luxury high price Spa Treatments because we simply do not have the space to do so. What we do intend to offer though, is excellent standard reasonably priced treatments carried out by competent, friendly, experienced therapists who will always welcome you in to our small but perfectly formed "Boutique Spa" with a smile!
Salary and package? All employees at Scin are paid an annual salary based on experience. With regular pay reviews and staff appraisals there are always opportunities to earn more related to performance. Scin also offer commission, a performance related bonus scheme and an attendance bonus scheme.
